Kreben is a district of the Wilhermsdorf market in the Middle Franconian district of Fürth .

geography

East of the village is the Herrenweiher and the Krebener Weiher, from which the Untere Krebener Graben rises, which is a left tributary of the Farrnbach . The Röthen corridor area borders in the south, and the Breite Krotte forest area in the northeast. The district road NEA 10 / FÜ 9 leads to Hirschneuses (2.5 km to the west) or to Kirchfarrnbach (1.9 km to the east).

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1169. Kreben carried the name Sperberslohe (also Sparwaresloch, Sperwaresloch, Sperwersloch or Sperbersloh) into the 16th century. According to the historian von Guttenberg, Kreben, like the neighboring towns, was created from the 9th century as a “wreath of development settlements” from the Königsgut Kirchfarrnbach . During the German Peasants' War in 1526 and when the Turkish tax was assessed in 1557, the name Kreben appeared in the files. The reason for this name change is unknown.

Structural changes can be seen in the Salbuch of Heilsbronn Monastery . For example, in the oldest Salbuch from 1402, eleven Sperbersloh farmers are listed, in 1432 there were nine. A sage book from 1571 only contains seven names. In the Thirty Years' War seven Heilsbronner of eight properties are destroyed. 1642 is written in a Salbuch at every farm "Is Abbrant", "Is Abbrant, and Öedt", "Has died and Abbrandt" or "Has died and collapsed". Resettlement began around thirty years later and lasted around ten years.

At the beginning of the 18th century, Kreben is described as "A Weyler , parish after Kirchfarrenbach, including seven Closter Neuhöfische and one Nuremberg Reichsallmossischer subject, and give the toes to Closter Heylsbronn".

At the end of the 18th century there were eight properties in Kreben. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff in Markt Erlbach . The now Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Neuhof held the village and community rulership . The landlords were the Neuhof caste office (3 courtyards, 2 estates, 1 smithy), the Kirchfarrnbach parish (1 courtyard) and the state charity office of the imperial city of Nuremberg (1 estate).

In 1810 Kreben came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the Hirschneuse tax district formed in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community Kreben was formed, to which Altkatterbach , Lösleinshäuslein , Neukatterbach and Riedelshäuslein belonged. With the second community edict (1818), two rural communities were formed:

  • Rural community Katterbach with Altkatterbach, Neukatterbach and Riedelshäuslein;
  • Rural community of Kreben with a little little house. At the same time Oberndorf was reassigned from the rural community of Meiersberg to Kreben.

The administration and jurisdiction of the rural community Kreben was subordinate to the district court of Markt Erlbach and the financial administration to the Ipsheim rent office . On November 9, 1824, the rural community Kreben was finally integrated into the rural community Katterbach.

With the regional reform in Bavaria , Kreben was incorporated into Wilhermsdorf on July 1, 1972.
