history

The place was first mentioned in 1225 as "Meirsperg". The monastery Heilsbronn where he earned a total of eight properties. In the Thirty Years' War only one of the property was inhabited.

At the end of the 18th century there were twelve properties in Meiersberg. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . The village and community rulership was held by the Neuhof caste office in Brandenburg-Bayreuth . The landlords were the Neuhof box office (2 yards, 2 half yards, 1 smithy, 2 estates, 1 little estate) and the state alms office of the imperial city of Nuremberg (2 estates, 2 little houses).

In 1810 Meiersberg came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the Hirschneuse tax district formed in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community Meiersberg was formed, to which the places Dippoldsberg and Oberndorf belonged. With the second community edict (1818), the rural community was split into

  • Rural community Dippoldsberg;
  • Rural community Meiersberg;
  • Oberndorf to the rural community of Kreben .

The rural community of Meiersberg was subordinate in administration and jurisdiction to the district court of Markt Erlbach and in the financial administration to the Ipsheim rent office . On November 9, 1824, Meiersberg was finally integrated into the rural community of Dippoldsberg.

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Meiersberg was incorporated into Wilhermsdorf as part of the Dippoldsberg community on January 1, 1971.
