history

The place has an entry in the regests of the bishops and the cathedral chapter of Bamberg, which can be dated between 1078 and 1102: A certain Tuto donated "Dipoldesberge" to the cathedral monastery of Bamberg. In 1363 Gerlach von Hohenlohe appears as a feudal lord, who bestows a tithe and a small fief in "Dyepoltsperge". From 1402 "Dypoltzberg" belongs to the Neuhof Propstei of Heilsbronn Monastery . As early as 1253, the monastery received compensation and a. a tithe in Dippoldsberg. In total, the monastery acquired nine properties and a sheep farm. The place was spared the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War .

At the end of the 18th century there were 15 properties in Dippoldsberg. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . The village and community rulership was held by the Neuhof caste office in Brandenburg-Bayreuth . The landlords were the Neuhof caste office (2 courtyards, 2 half courtyards, 6 estates, 3 houses, 1 shepherd's house) and the state alms office of the imperial city of Nuremberg (1 estate).

In 1810 Dippoldsberg came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the Hirschneuses tax district, formed in 1811, and to the rural community of Meiersberg in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818) the rural community Dippoldsberg was formed. It was subordinate to the regional court of Markt Erlbach in administration and jurisdiction and to the Ipsheim Rent Office in the financial administration . On November 9, 1824, Meiersberg was finally integrated into the rural community of Dippoldsberg. From 1862 Dippoldsberg was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office (from 1938: Neustadt an der Aisch district ) and from 1856 by the Markt Erlbach rent office (1920–1929: Markt Erlbach tax office , from 1929: Fürth tax office ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Markt Erlbach until 1879, from 1880 to 1959 district court of Markt Erlbach , from 1959 district court of Fürth . The municipality had an area of 4,680 km².

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Dippoldsberg was incorporated into Wilhermsdorf on January 1, 1971.
