Ödenhof (colloquially: "E i dnhūf") is a district of the town of Langenzenn in the Middle Franconian district of Fürth .

geography

The Great Forest borders north of the wasteland . Otherwise, the place is surrounded by arable land and grassland with a few trees. A residential path leads to the FÜ 16 district road at Hammerschmiede (0.4 km south).

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1535. The place name refers to its secluded location.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Ödenhof belonged to Keidenzell . The property was owned by the Cadolzburg caste office in Brandenburg-Ansbach as the landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Ödenhof was given house number 26 in Keidenzell.

As part of the community edict, Ödenhof was assigned to the Keidenzell tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the Keidenzell rural community formed in the same year .

On May 1, 1978, Ödenhof was incorporated into Langenzenn as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

The place has been predominantly Evangelical-Lutheran since the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish in the Evangelical Lutheran parish church (Langenzenn) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination to St. Marien (Langenzenn) .
