Mathias Höner

Mathias Höner (born November 10, 1883 in Obermendig ; † November 7, 1923 ) was a German politician ( center ).

Live and act

After attending primary school in Obermendig, Höner learned the stonemason trade. In 1908 he married. From 1903 to 1905 Höner belonged to the 1st Infantry Regiment 8 in Schlettstadt.

From 1912 Höner worked for the Central Association of Christian Ceramists and Stone Workers. From 1914 to 1918 Höner took part in the First World War, in which he was wounded and damaged in the war. In October 1919 Höner became chairman of the professional association of German stone workers. He also became a union secretary in Altenkirchen Westerwald.

In the Reichstag election of June 1920 , Höner was elected to the Reichstag , in which he represented constituency 21 (Hessen-Nassau) until his death in November 1923. Then Höner's mandate was continued by Paul Jungblut until the end of the legislative period .

Today Höner's estate is kept in the archive of the Historical Commission in Berlin in the archive of social democracy . It is 0.1 running meters and contains material from the years 1918 to 1935.
