Mathias Jenny

Mathias Jenny, actually: Johann Mathias Jenny, (born December 1, 1865 in Götzis ; † August 4, 1939 in Rankweil ) was an Austrian politician ( CS ) and farmer. From 1923 to 1930 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

Jenny was born the son of the farmer Josef Anton Jenny (1827–1898) and his wife Kreszenzia Jenny (1823–1879). Both of his parents were born in Damüls . He married Agatha Seeger (1871-1954) from Rankweil on November 9, 1896 in Rankweil, although his marriage remained childless.

Jenny worked as a farmer and carpenter and was a member of the Rankweiler municipal council. He was also the poor fund administrator of the Rankweil community and a member of the Christian Social Party until 1928. From November 6, 1923 to December 4, 1930 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament, where he resigned from office by renouncing his mandate. In the state parliament he was a member of the legal committee and most recently also a member of the agriculture committee.
