Mathieu Valverde (born May 14, 1983 in Montreuil ) is a French footballer ; In the 2011/12 season, the goalkeeper plays for Olympique Lyon in Ligue 1 .
Career
Since 2002 Valverde has played for Girondins Bordeaux , at whose junior boarding school Le Haillan he had previously been trained. Since the 2003/04 season he was part of the professional squad. For the Girondins he made a total of 22 league games as the second goalkeeper behind Ulrich Ramé , 15 of them in the 2008/09 season in which Bordeaux became French champions . He then moved to the newly promoted US Boulogne for half a year . In the 2010/11 season he was under contract with FC Toulouse and then moved to Olympique Lyon .
