Mathijs Deen

Mathijs Deen (born 1962 in Hengelo ) is a Dutch journalist and writer.

Life

Mathijs Deen studied Dutch in Groningen and then worked for Radio Noord . Since 2001 he has been producing programs for the broadcaster VPRO . He published collections of his radio columns, short stories and novels. The short story collection Brutus heeft honger from 2011 was nominated for the AKO Literatuurprijs . In 2018 Deen was awarded the Halewijn Prize.
