Andreas Eck (* 1957 in Wuppertal ) is a German translator .

Life

Andreas Ecke completed a degree in German , Dutch and musicology . He worked as a bookseller for a long time . Today he lives as a freelance translator in Bonn .

Andreas Ecke translates narrative works and non-fiction books from Dutch into German . In 2010 he received the Else Otten Translator Award for his translation of the novel “Above is it still” by Gerbrand Bakker . In 2016 he received the European Translator Award .

Corner is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ.
