Gregor Seferens

Gregor Seferens (born February 23, 1964 in Höngen (Selfkant) ) is a German translator .

Life

Gregor Seferens studied German , Dutch and philosophy at the universities in Bonn and Cologne . In his master's thesis he dealt with the subject of "The reception of Karl May in the Netherlands ". Seferens lives today as a freelance translator in Bonn .

Gregor Seferens translates narrative literature, poems and non-fiction books from Dutch into German . In 2000 he received the Else Otten Translator Prize for his translation of Harry Mulisch's novel "The Procedure" , and in 2007 the Rotterdam Brockway Prize for his poetry translations, especially for the translation of Anna Enquist's volume "Ein neue Abschied" .

Seferens is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ.
