Mathilde Beeg

Mathilde Beeg (born November 19, 1826 , † January 1, 1905 in Schöneberg near Berlin; born Mathilde von Aufseß ) was a German writer .

Life

Beeg was born as the daughter of the historian Hans von und zu Aufseß , the founder of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum , and his wife Charlotte von Seckendorff-Aberdar. From 1850 she was married to the technologist Johannes Beeg . Her son Hermann Beeg became a general in the First World War .

In 1874, she initiated the establishment of the first women's labor school in Bavaria in Nuremberg , in which young girls should be given further education.
