Mati Kuulberg

Mati Kuulberg (born July 9, 1947 in Tallinn ; † June 14, 2001 there ) was an Estonian composer , violinist and music teacher .

Mati Kuulberg studied violin at the Tallinn Music High School with Harald Aasa until 1966 and composition at the Tallinn State Conservatory (now the Estonian Music and Theater Academy ) with Anatoli Garšnek until 1971 .

From 1966 to 1974 Kuulberg was a violinist with the Estonian State Symphony Orchestra (ERSO). From 1970 to 1998 he was a lecturer in music theory and music education at the Georg-Ots Music School in Tallinn. During the same period he taught music theory and composition at the Tallinn Music High School. In 1969 he joined the Estonian Association of Composers ( Estonian Eesti Heliloojate Liit ).

Mati Kuulberg is buried today in the Tallinn forest cemetery.
