Matias Aguayo

Matias Aguayo (* 1973 in Santiago de Chile ) is a German - Chilean techno producer and live act .

In 1998 he grew up in Gummersbach and published the maxi UOAA Shake It! Together with Michael Mayer under the project name Zimt . on the Ladomat 2000 label . A little later he founded the Closer Musik project with Dirk Leyers and published it on the newly founded label Kompakt . In 2004 they separated and Aguayo started a solo career with the album Are You Really Lost . An important element of his music is the human voice, which Aguayo himself contributes as a vocalist.

As of 2006, Aguayo was one of four organizers of the Bumbumbox parties that took place unannounced in the public space of various large cities in South America . The music was played in the public square using a radio recorder. The same makers then founded the techno label Cómeme , whose focus is on pieces by South American producers.
