Matt Stringer (born May 4, 1993 ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Mustangs IHC in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2011 , but has also been playing for the Braves Ice Hockey Club from the lower-class Ice Hockey Victoria Premier League since 2016 .

Career

Matt Stringer began his career as a hockey player at Mustangs IHC in Melbourne, for whom he made his debut in the 2011 season in the Australian Ice Hockey League and has played since then. Only in 2013 did he also play for the Melbourne Red Wings in the Australian Junior Ice Hockey League. In 2014 he won the Goodall Cup , the Australian national championship, with the Mustangs . Since 2016 he has also been used at the Braves Ice Hockey Club in the lower-class Ice Hockey Victoria Premier League

International

Stringer took part in the junior division for Australia at the U18 World Cup in 2011 , when he was voted best player of his team as top scorer and top scorer, in Division III and at the U20 World Cups in 2012 and 2013 when he was captain of his team of Division II.

He played for the men's selection for the first time at the 2016 World Cup , when he was promoted from the B to the A group of Division II with the Australians.
