Matthäus Friderich
Matthäus Friderich , also Mattheus Friderich (* 16th century in Görlitz ; † 1559 ) was a German Protestant clergyman and hymn poet . Nothing certain is known about his life, but it was said that his father was a butcher and that he was a pastor in Görenz and from 1552 on in Schönberg . In 1556 he published a two-song collection, the first song is about enduring the hard judgments of God, while the second tells about serious and joyful trust in God.
