Matthäus Scharpf
Matthäus Scharpf (* around 1680 , † around 1742 ) was a builder of the South German Baroque .
As city master builder in Rottweil , he had the pilgrimage church of Rest of Christ built.
The best-known work was the construction of the Beuron Abbey Church from 1732 to 1738 according to his plans; their consecration took place on September 28, 1738. The client was Abbot Rudolf II von Strachwitz.
