Matthew Elliot Barber (born January 10, 1977 in Mississauga , Canada ) is a Canadian singer-songwriter who is assigned to the style of indie pop and pop rock .

life and career

Growing up in Port Credit , Barber went to Lorne Park Secondary School and later to Queen's University in Kingston . There he was employed by campus radio and released his debut album called A Thousand Smiles An Hour there in 1999 .

Barber has a sister named Jill Barber who is also a Canadian singer-songwriter.
