Matthew Boling (born June 20, 2000 ), nickname White Lightning : "White Lightning", is an American athlete .

Athletic career

Boling was part of the US 4 x 400 meter relay at the U20 World Championships in 2018 , which later won silver in the final without him. In the following year, Boling received national media attention after completing the 100 meters at the end of April 2019 at the age of 18 in wind-assisted (+4.2 m / s) 9.98 s. In regular conditions, he ran at 10.13 s (+1.3 m / s) two weeks later, which made him the fastest student in an American all- high school race. With a best performance of 8.01 m, Boling is also active in the long jump.
