Matthew Collier (* 20th century) is an American astronomer and asteroid explorer .

In 1998 he and Walter R. Cooney, Jr. discovered a total of two asteroids at the Highland Road Park Observatory ( IAU code 747) in Baton Rouge , Louisiana .
