Matthew Michael Carnahan

Matthew Michael Carnahan is an American screenwriter . Among other things, he wrote the scripts for the feature films Operation: Kingdom (2007) and Von Löwen und Lammern (2007). He was involved in the script for World War Z (2013) together with Damon Lindelof and Drew Goddard . In 2019 Carnahan was involved in the films 21 Bridges and Mosul . The latter also meant his debut as a director.

Carnahan wrote the screenplay for Von Löwen und Lammern for United Artists .

He is the brother of Joe Carnahan , who wrote and directed the scripts for Narc and Smokin 'Aces .

Reviews

The reviews of Carnahan's work were mixed. Based on 17 reviews, Operation: Kingdom scored 55 out of 100 on Metacritic. Rotten Tomatoes screened the film with a 53% positive vote based on 120 reviews. Kaveh L Afrasiabi of Asia Times called the film "a pseudo-realistic action film which can only be successful if we let ourselves down to the world events of adolescent Americans" and "non-stop nonsense, from start to finish" . He accused the film of being "FBI worship" and " Islamophobic ".

Von Löwen und Lamern generally received negative to mixed reviews from critics. On November 10, 2007, only 27% of the 133 reviews submitted on the Rotten Tomatos review platform were positive. At Metacritic, the film achieved an average rating of 47 out of 100 points in 33 reviews.
