Matthew Pollock (born April 26, 1990 in Boston ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Pollock began his career at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park . From 2008 to 2012 he studied at Pepperdine University and played on the university team. He was also active on the United States' national junior team. After completing his studies, the middle blocker went to Finland, where he first played for two years for Team Lakkapää and in the 2014/15 season for Valepa Sastamala . He then moved to the Swiss first division club Volley Näfels and then to Fonte Bastardo Azores . In 2017/18 he played in the second Italian division for Scarabeo Roma . Then he was signed by the German-Austrian Bundesliga club Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching . While in the DVV-Pokal 2018/19 the end came in the round of 16, Pollock reached the semi-finals with the club in the Bundesliga playoffs . Then he left the alpine volleyball.
