Matthias Brüstle (born May 14, 1985 ) is a former German telemark skier from Gutach in the Black Forest and a member of the TUS Gutach association, in which he also plays handball.
Brüstle made his debut in the Telemark World Cup in Montchavin-Les-Coches on January 11, 2008 . In the first year he was only used in four World Cup races. The placements were between places 20 and 30. In the overall standings and in the Classic Sprint, he was 63rd and in the Classic 54th. He skipped the 2009 season and got back into the World Cup in 2010 . His performance has been uphill this season. So a good ninth place jumped out in the giant slalom in Granpallars . In the overall ranking he took 27th place, 19th place in giant slalom, 25th place in Classic and 44th place in Classic Sprint. The 2011 season was no worse than the previous one in 2010. After all, he managed 11th place in the giant slalom at the home race in Bad Hindelang , and it was also his best finish of the season. In the overall standings he improved by seven places over the previous year. In the giant slalom he reached 15th place, in the Classic 23rd place and in the Classic Sprint 33rd place. At his first World Championships in 2011 in Rjukan , Brüstle reached 22nd place in giant slalom and 32nd place in Classic. He did not finish in the Classic Sprint race. Also in the 2012 season he achieved midfield results, except in Vallée de Chamonix in the Classic race he came in 28th place. In the overall World Cup he came in 20th place, in the Classic on 15th place, in the Classic Sprint on 18th place and in the parallel sprint on 21st place. After the 2012 season, he ended his sporting career as a telemarker. He became co-trainer of the DSV team.
