Matthias Christian

Matthias Christian (* 1941 in Großarl ) is an Austrian philosopher .

Life

After graduating from the private high school Borromäum , the son of the merchants Josef Christian and Viktoria, née Laireiter, joined the order of Steyler missionaries in 1960 . After his ordination in 1966, he came to Taiwan in 1968 , where, in addition to his work as a pastor, he studied the Chinese language and philosophy and worked as a lecturer at the Catholic Fu-Jen University in Taipei . From 2008 to 2014 he taught philosophy at St. Joseph University in Macau and from 2014 to 2016 in South Sudan .
