Matthias Eickhoff

Matthias Eickhoff (* 1957 in Wolfenbüttel ) is Professor of Marketing , Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences .

He studied business administration and business education at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main from 1977–1984 and received his doctorate in 1987. After marketing tasks in the pharmaceutical and power tool industry and an advertising agency, he took over a business administration professorship at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences in 1992, where he Main focus of work in the areas of market and management strategies, potential-oriented marketing, business creativity and EuroPreneurship.

He is the initiator of the European university network COEUR (Competence in EuroPreneurship), which supports the development of a European entrepreneurial culture by strengthening intercultural cooperation.

Matthias Eickhoff was chairman of the German Action Group on Education-Invention-Innovation (DABEI) eV from 1997-2000 and member of the board of trustees of the Ellen-und-Max-Woitschach-Foundation for non-ideological science and from 2000 to 2005 holder of the endowed professorship and managing director of the “Institute for entrepreneurial action ”. Since July 2002 he has also been managing director of the ITB Institute for Innovation, Transfer and Consulting gGmbH, Bingen. Matthias Eickhoff works as a speaker as well as an expert for various companies and institutions such as the industrial research foundation or VDI / VDE. He is a mentor of the Forum Kiedrich and the German Founder Award. From 2007 to 2011 he was an external examiner at the Business School of the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, he is a visiting professor at the ISCTE LUI in Lisbon and teaches at various universities in Germany and abroad. Since 2014 he has been a member of the advisory board of the private accadis Hochschule Bad Homburg.
