Matthias Ferwagner

Matthias Ferwagner (born April 12, 1943 ; † April 12, 2017 in Rosenheim ) was a German government architect . He was the head of the state building authorities in Traunstein and Rosenheim.

Life

Matthias Ferwagner was initially a department head in the former Rosenheim agricultural office from 1975 to 1991. After that he was head of the state building construction office in Traunstein until 2005. Until 2008 he worked as the head of the state building authority in Rosenheim. Numerous buildings in the area of responsibility of the Traunstein and Rosenheim building authorities were built under his leadership.

His commitment to the awareness of quality and the demand for high-quality architecture resulted in the foundation of the Rosenheim Kreis eV association in 2005 . In addition, he was particularly interested in and committed to contemporary art. His desire to exchange and talk about art and architecture led to activities such as For example, the exhibition “100 Years of Fritz Harnest - 10 Years of the State Building Authority” in the Rosenheim office building, also in 2005.

Ferwagner was an extraordinary member of the Association of German Architects .
