Matthias J. Fritsch

Matthias Josef Fritsch (born May 7, 1967 in Neustadt an der Waldnaab ) is a German Roman Catholic philosopher .

Life

After graduating from high school in Neustadt an der Waldnaab in 1986, he studied Catholic theology at the Universities of Regensburg and Passau from 1987 to 1993 . He was the winner (3rd prize) of the Dr. Kurt Hellmich Foundation at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Regensburg in 1992 for the diploma thesis “History as the horizon of theology. The problem of revelation in Wolfhart Pannenberg's theology of history ”. From 1994 to 1997 he was a research assistant at the chair for systematic theology (philosophical-theological propaedeutics) with Ulrich G. Leinsle . After receiving his doctorate in 1997 at Kath.-Theol. Faculty of the University of Regensburg with the thesis on "Reason-Revelation-Religion. A historical-systematic study of Sigismund von Storchenau ”. From 1997 to 2002 he was a research assistant at the chair for systematic theology (philosophical-theological propaedeutics) with Ulrich G. Leinsle. After completing his habilitation in “ Christian Philosophy ” in 2001 at the University of Regensburg, he has been a senior employee and deputy head of the school / university department in the diocese of Regensburg since 2004 . Since 2009 he has been teaching as an adjunct professor for philosophical-theological propaedeutics.
