Now Is Good is a British teen drama from 2012. Ol Parker wrote and directed the script. The film is based on the 2007 book Before I Die by Jenny Downham , which appeared in Germany as Before I Die .

The film premiered on August 31, 2012 in Los Angeles and on September 19 in the United Kingdom.

Tessa Scott, a teenager, has acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the doctors have diagnosed her imminent death. Together with her friend Zoey she tries to enjoy life.

She gets to know Adam, the neighbor boy, who looks after his disabled mother, and falls in love with him.

Tessa and Adam meet on a normal date, but Tessa suddenly has a nosebleed and is hospitalized. They spend every free minute together on it.

criticism

Now is Good received very mixed reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film received a rating of 58%. The film service judges: "Despite the foreseeable tearful end, a pleasantly unpretentious, well-played (youth) film that credibly problematizes important questions about saying goodbye and 'making peace'."
