Joe Cole (actor)
Joe Cole (born November 28, 1988 in Kingston upon Thames , London ) is a British actor .
Life
Joe Cole grew up in Kingston, south London and is the oldest of five brothers. One of them is Finn Cole , at whose side he was seen in the series Peaky Blinders . Cole himself has appeared as an actor in film and television since 2010.
Cole's acting career began when he was inducted into the National Youth Theater . He got his first roles ( The Bill and Holby City ) through a one night show in London's West End. This was followed by roles in the Bush Theater. After a few minor supporting roles, Cole played John Shelby in the British historical crime thriller Peaky Blinders and in an episode of Charlie Brookers' Black Mirror from 2013 to 2017 .
Awards
Cole won the British Independent Film Awards 2018 for Best Actor for his role as Billy Moore in A Prayer Before Dawn .
He received a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor for the episode Hang the DJ of the Black Mirror series .
