The Kohler Dome is a 2682 m high, rounded and snow-covered mountain peak in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises almost imperceptibly at the eastern end of the Mount Moulton massif in the Flood Range .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy in the years from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1974 by Robert E. Kohler from the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey , geomagneticist and seismologist at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1970.
