Matthias Jung (born June 16, 1978 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a German comedian and author . He is known through appearances in NightWash and Quatsch Comedy Club as well as through his book " Chill mal ".

Life

Matthias Jung, who grew up in Hüffelsheim , worked as an author a. a. for 7 days, 7 people , TV total and the Today show . In 2005 he started his stage career as a cabaret artist. In 2013 his first book “ My first traffic light - a city guide for country eggs ” was published by Rowohlt Verlag.

From 2014 to 2015 Matthias could be heard on Radio RPR1 with a daily comedy series. In 2015 his first CD " Der Urlaubschecker " was released; 2016 his second CD " Generation Teenietus ". In 2017 he won the NDR Comedy Contest and was nominated for the Stuttgart Besen and Tuttlinger Krähe cabaret awards. In 2016 he was on tour with his program " Generation Teenietus - Pipes without End ?! ".

Matthias has regular appearances on SWR programs. He can currently be heard on SWR3 with the radio comedy “ Parents ask - young answers - fun education with Matthias Jung ” and has been “ SWR Club Comedian of the Week ” several times . He gives his poetry slam lecture “ Your future - Laugh you smart! "And moderates" Science Slams "in various cities, where he is in constant contact with young people.

Since 2018 he has been on tour in Germany with his program " Chill times - News from the Generation Teenietus ". In April 2018 Edel Verlag published his new book " Chill mal !: At the end of patience there is still a lot of puberty left ".

Matthias lives with his family in Mainz.
