Matthias Karger (born May 10, 1982 in Friedrichshafen ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career hall

Karger only started playing indoor volleyball in his hometown at the age of 16 with TSG Ailingen and later played for VfB Friedrichshafen and TSV Bad Saulgau . 2001/02 played the middle blocker in the Regionalliga West in the second team of SV Bayer Wuppertal . After the end of his beach career, he was active at TSV Germania Windeck in 2006/07 .

Career Beach

Karger has also been active in beach volleyball since 1999. At the side of Maarten Lammen he was U20 European Champion in Nuremberg in 2000 , finished fifth at the U21 World Championships in Le Lavandou (France) in 2001 and won bronze at the U21 World Championships in Catania (Italy) in 2002 . Karger / Lammen played at national tournaments until 2003 and won bronze at the 2004 Student World Cup in Thailand . In 2004 Karger formed a duo with Florian Huth . In 2005 he started a. a. with Drazen Slacanin .
