Matthias Tiling
Matthias Tiling (also Matthias Tilling , born August 18, 1634 in Jever , † February 25, 1685 in Rinteln ) was a German physician , Hessian personal physician and professor of medicine in Rinteln .
Life
After studying medicine in Groningen and obtaining a medical doctorate in Wittenberg (1663), Tiling was first a general practitioner in Emden and then a physicus in Bremen. In 1669 he became a full professor of medicine in Rinteln. From 1674 he worked as a Hessian and Brunswick-Lüneburg personal physician .
On December 13, 1674, Matthias Tilling was registered under matriculation no. 51 with the academic surname Zephyrus II. Accepted as a member of the Academia Naturae Curiosorum , today's German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina .
