Matthias Wenzel

Matthias Wenzel (* 1962 in Gotha ) is a German non-fiction author and publicist.

Life

Matthias Wenzel graduated from the Arnoldischule in his hometown in 1980 . From 1988 to 1992 he worked as a teacher for English and Russian in Saxony-Anhalt. From 1997 to 2000 he was the museum director of the Bach parent company in Wechmar . Since 1999 he has been deputy chairman of the Gothaer Tivoli Association . Wenzel has had a seat on the Gotha City Council since 2008 and has been city council chairman since 2014. Since 1995 he has been chairman of the Gotha City History Association. Wenzel wrote numerous local history publications and newspaper articles.
