Matthijsz Nicolaas Aartman
Matthijsz Nicolaas Aartman (* December 5, 1713 probably in Amsterdam , † March 5, 1793 ibid) was a Dutch draftsman .
Aartman, who is listed as two people in older literature, drew many small-format representations that served as illustrations for books . The main motifs of his drawings were interiors , village genre scenes and lively landscapes. Jan Schoute created a copy of a farmer's fair painted by Aartman; and an interior of Aartman was engraved by J. Körnlein. Several of Aartman's works were sold at auctions.
