Life
Maurice Block comes from a Jewish family and spent many years of his childhood and youth in Paris. He studied philosophy and political science in Paris and at the universities of Bonn and Gießen , as well as history and geography, and completed his studies with a doctorate at the University of Tübingen .
Block then went back to France and worked there as a teacher for some time. Ten years later, Block resigned from this office and from that time on devoted himself only to his own scientific and literary work.
