Maurice Donnay
Maurice Donnay (born October 12, 1859 in Paris , † March 31, 1945 ibid) was a French playwright .
Maurice Donnay first studied at the École centrale Paris and worked for a short time as an engineer . Maurice Donnay also wrote chansons for the cabaret Le Chat Noir .
Donnay mainly wrote comedies . In 1907 he became a member of the Académie française . He was also honored with the title of Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor .
