Maurice Herbulot is a retired French cyclist who was active in the 1940s and 1950s.

Athletic career

Publications on Herbulot's sporting career are limited to his starts in the amateur stage race in Poland and Czechoslovakia , which later became known as the International Peace Ride.

Herbulot took part in the second edition of the tour in 1949 , which ran over 1259 kilometers from Prague to Warsaw . He was a member of the France II team, which had been sent along with two other teams by the left-wing French workers' sports organization FSGT. Herbulot was one of the most active drivers of his team on the eight stages and crossed the finish line in third on the first stage and second on the fifth section of the day. In the overall standings he came second behind the Czechoslovak driver Jan Veselý and led his team to victory in the team standings .

Although the FSGT sent only one team from Warsaw to Prague for the 1950 peace trip, Herbulot was again part of the French contingent. He got off to a good start with third place on the first stage, but retired early during the tour .
