Mauricio Alonso , full name Mauricio Sebastián Alonso Pereda (born February 12, 1994 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

According to his club, 1.71 meters tall, who can be used as a striker or attacking midfielder, "Loco" Alonso has been under contract with Club Atlético Cerro in the Primera División since 2011 , from whose youth department he comes from. He made his debut in professional football on August 15, 2011. In Apertura and Clausura in his first season in 2011/12, as a 17-year-old, he had already played 27 matches, 21 of which were on the starting line-up, and scored three goals. In the 2012/13 season, depending on the sources, 25 or 26 first division appearances with three goals scored for him. In July 2013 it was reported that the Mexican club Atlético San Luis Alonso had signed. In August 2013, the transfer was reported to have failed. In the 2013/14 season he completed 16 games (one goal) in the Primera División for Cerro. In August 2014, he joined league rivals Sud América on loan . In the 2014/15 season he came to 26 other first division appearances (one goal). Then he returned to Cerro. In the Apertura 2015 he played in five (no goal) league games with the Montevideans. From the beginning of January 2016 he continued his career as part of a loan at Villa Dálmine in Argentina's Primera B Nacional and so far (as of August 5, 2017) has come 32 times (eight goals) in the league and once (no goal) in the Copa Argentina to use.

Coach Juan Verzeri appointed him to the Uruguayan U-20 national team in 2012.
