With the construction of the chapel in 1848 on the initiative of Andreas Ebner vlg. Rupbauer started, hence the name Rupbauerkapelle . Local pastor Crusitz managed to have the chapel built large enough to allow Holy Mass to be celebrated. On October 28, 1855 the consecration took place by the Obervellach dean Carl Fermann with the granting of the simple measuring license. In 1866 the Prince-Bishop of Gurk gave the Eucharistic blessing . From then on the Holy of Holies was kept in the tabernacle . In 1890 this was revoked by the Gurk Ordinariate. Of two bells that belonged to the chapel, one was confiscated from a collection of bells during the First World War, the second in 1944 during the Second World War. However, World War II ended before the bell melted. She could be identified and brought back. In 1997 the chapel was extensively renovated.
