The Maurin Kiribati Party , MKP ( German  Protects Kiribati! Party ), was a political party in Kiribati in the Maneaba ni Maungatabu (House of Assembly). Party affiliation in Kiribati is handled only loosely. In the presidential election on July 4, 2003, Banuera Berina ran for the party and won 9.1% of the vote.

In the 2011 elections, the party won three seats. MP Nabuti Mwemwenikarawa, representative for North Tarawa, became opposition leader.

In 2015, the party only won one seat in the parliamentary elections.

On January 29, 2016, the party merged with Teburoro Tito's United Coalition Party for the Tobwaan Kiribati Party .
