The state command of North Rhine-Westphalia ( LKdo NW ) is the highest territorial command authority of the Bundeswehr in this state. It is subordinate to the Territorial Tasks Command (Berlin) and the primary contact for the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia within the framework of civil-military cooperation . Until 2013, the command set up in 2007 was subordinate to the Military District Command II . The technical training of the personnel is largely carried out by the Multinational CIMIC Command (MN CIMIC CMD), which also assigns personnel.
assignment
The command based in Düsseldorf has the following tasks:
- The state command is the first point of contact and leads the five district and 54 district liaison commands (BVK and KVK) at the level of the administrative districts, rural districts and urban districts in the corresponding subdivisions , which are exclusively manned by reservists and advise their civilian counterparts there. These are supported by four regional planning and support troops stationed in Münster , Arnsberg , Cologne and Mönchengladbach , which are active soldiers of the state command. Together, these serve to plan, prepare and coordinate official and disaster aid .
- It summarizes support requirements, evaluates them and submits them to the Bundeswehr Territorial Tasks Command.
- The three companies of the regional security and support forces of the country report to him. The company "Ruhr" in Unna is in this case the supply Battalion 7 ( Good luck barracks ), the company "Rhineland" in Dusseldorf directly from the Land Command NRW and the company "Westfalen" in Ahlen from the reconnaissance battalion 7 ( Westphalia barracks supported).
- It prepares the admission and deployment of the armed forces in coordination with the responsible civilian disaster control team and coordinates their deployment according to the specifications and priorities of the civilian side and thus has a military picture of the deployed and still available armed forces.
- Coordination of host nation support, in accordance with the NATO troop statute in the state.
- It is responsible for voluntary reservist work and the training of reservists. The annual international Mönchengladbach military competition is important here.
- Coordination of the press / public relations work of the Bundeswehr of the individual armed forces (TSK) and organizational areas, as well as the defense administrations and the armaments area in the state.
- Advising the exercising troops on country-specific environmental protection issues.
- Troop service management of subordinate small offices, such as the four family care centers, the sports teacher in the state, the sports promotion group and the Bundeswehr technical school in Cologne.
- Professional management of the site elders .
