The Bremen State Command ( LKdo HB ) has been the territorial command authority of the Bundeswehr in Bremen since 2007 . The state command is subordinate to the Territorial Tasks Command of the Federal Armed Forces in Berlin and the first point of contact for the Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen within the framework of civil-military cooperation . Until 2013 it was subordinate to the Military District Command I “Coast”.

The command, based in the Scharnhorst barracks in Bremen- Huckelriede , has all the necessary command areas .

The state command leads the district liaison command (KVK) in Bremerhaven , which is manned exclusively with reservists and advises its civilian counterparts there. This is used to plan, prepare and coordinate official and disaster aid .
It summarizes support requirements, evaluates them and submits them to the Bundeswehr Territorial Tasks Command.
The regional security and support company of the state, which was set up as the first of its kind in 2012 and is supported by the logistics school in Garlstedt as a sponsor association, reports to him.
It prepares the reception and deployment of armed forces in coordination with the responsible civilian disaster control team and coordinates their deployment according to the specifications and priorities of the civilian side and thus has a military picture of the deployed and still available armed forces.
It is responsible for voluntary reservist work and the training of reservists.
It coordinates the press and public relations work of the Bundeswehr in the state.
It advises training units on country-specific environmental protection issues.
Maintains contact with the Federal Armed Forces commissioner for civil-military cooperation in the neighboring districts / independent cities.
It is responsible for the troop service management of the subordinate small offices. (Family care centers Delmenhorst and Wilhelmshaven).
