The Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Command ( LKdo MV ) has been the highest territorial command authority of the Bundeswehr in this state since 2007 . It is subordinate to the Territorial Tasks Command (Berlin) and the primary contact for the state government of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania within the framework of civil-military cooperation . Until 2013 it was subordinate to the Military District Command I “Coast” . The technical training of the personnel is largely carried out by the Multinational Civil-Military Cooperation Command (MN CIMIC Cmd), which also assigns personnel.

The command based in the Werder barracks in Schwerin has the following tasks:
- The state command is the first point of contact and leads the eight district liaison commands in the respective six district offices or the city administrations of the district-free cities , which are exclusively manned by reservists and advise their civilian counterparts there.
