The Thuringia State Command ( LKdo TH ) in Erfurt has been the highest territorial command authority of the Bundeswehr in this state since 2007 . It is subordinate to the Territorial Tasks Command (Berlin) and the primary contact for the state government of the Free State of Thuringia in the context of civil-military cooperation . Until 2013 it was subordinate to the Military District Command III . The technical training of the personnel is largely carried out by the Multinational Civil-Military Cooperation Command (MN CIMIC Cmd), which also assigns personnel.

The command based in the Henne barracks in Erfurt has the following tasks:

  • The state command is the first point of contact and leads both the district liaison command (BVK) at the Thuringian state administration office in Weimar and the 23 district liaison commands in the respective district offices or city administrations of the district-free cities , which are exclusively manned by reservists and advise their civilian counterparts there.   • It is responsible for voluntary reservist work and the training of reservists.
