The Schleswig-Holstein State Command ( LKdo SH ) in Kiel is the highest territorial command authority of the Bundeswehr in Schleswig-Holstein . It was set up in 2007 and, like the other country commands the command Territorial responsibilities assumed (Berlin) and primary contact the state government as part of the military civil cooperation . Until 2013 it was subordinate to the Military District Command I “Coast” . The technical training of the personnel is largely carried out by the Multinational Civil-Military Cooperation Command (MN CIMIC Cmd), which also assigns personnel. The command based in Kiel has the following tasks:

• The state command is the first point of contact and leads the 15 district liaison commands in the respective district offices or city administrations of the district-free cities , which are exclusively manned by reservists and advise their civilian counterparts there. This is used to plan, prepare and coordinate official and disaster aid .
• It summarizes support requirements, evaluates them and submits them to the Bundeswehr Territorial Tasks Command.
• The two regional security and support companies (RSUKpn) of the country are subordinate to him ; "Schleswig", which is supported by the anti-aircraft missile squadron 1 in Husum and "Holstein", which is supported by the reconnaissance battalion 6 in the Rettberg barracks in Eutin.
• It prepares the admission and deployment of the armed forces in coordination with the responsible civilian disaster control team and coordinates their deployment according to the specifications and priorities of the civilian side and thus has a military picture of the deployed and still available armed forces.
• Coordination of host nation support (territorial support for authorized foreign armed forces) in accordance with the NATO troop statute in the state.
• It is responsible for voluntary reservist work and the training of reservists.

The basic form of the internal association badge of the state command is based on the coat of arms of Schleswig-Holstein . It shows on a split shield with black shield edges heraldically on the right for the Schleswig region two inward-facing, red armored, striding lions on a yellow background as well as the heraldic left for the Holstein region the white heraldic shield known as " nettle leaf " on a red background. In the base of the shield, unlike in the said state coat of arms, there is a blue border on silver with the Iron Cross as a symbol of the Bundeswehr.
