Maurizio Corgnati

Maurizio Corgnati (* 1917 in Maglione ; † March 29, 1992 in Turin ) was an Italian director and writer.

Life

Corgnati was initially a journalist , but soon turned to his real love, television and film, and worked as a writer and director. In the early 1950s he wrote a screenplay for Antonio Leonviola ; In 1953 he directed Opinione pubblica , his only contribution to Italian cinema as a director, based on his own idea and script . He found his main field of work in television, for which he was responsible for numerous programs, such as Quattro passi tra le nuvole . With his discovery Milva , whose manager he was, he was married from 1961 to 1969 and specifically promoted her development by changing her repertoire from hits and songs to gospel and protest songs , as well as appearances in operas and musicals.

After this relationship failed, he remarried and moved back to his hometown, where he was active in culture and founded the "Museo d'Arte Contemporanea all'Aperto".
