Mauro Calamia (born January 20, 1992 ) is a Swiss automobile racing driver .

Career

Calamia began his motorsport career in karting in 2005 , where he was active until 2008. In 2009 he switched to formula racing and competed for Daltec Racing in the Formula Lista junior . With a third place as the best result, he was tenth in the drivers' championship. In 2010 he stayed in this racing series and started for Torino Motorsport . In the overall ranking he reached eleventh place. In 2011 Calamia returned to Daltec Racing and competed in the Alpine Formula Renault . He finished the season in tenth place in the drivers' championship. He also took part in three races of the Northern European Formula Renault for Daltec Racing .

In 2012 Calamia received a cockpit in the FIA Formula 2 Championship . He got out of the series two race weekends before the end of the season and finished 18th in the drivers' championship.
