Mauro Abel Richeze Araquistain (born December 7, 1985 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine cyclist .

Athletic career

Mauro Richeze won a stage in the 500 Millas del Norte race in 2005 and came third overall. In the 2006 season he won a part of the Clásica del Oest-Doble Bragado race and in 2007 he was once again successful there. He also won the Italian one-day races Popolarissima di Treviso , San Giovanni Valdarno and Astico Brenta in 2007 .

In 2008 Richeze was successful for the Professional Continental Team CSF Group-Navigare on the ninth and last section of the Tour de Langkawi . In the following years he achieved multiple stage successes in tours such as the Tour de Korea , the Vuelta Ciclista al Uruguay , the Tour of Serbia and the Flèche du Sud . In 2012 he was runner-up in the road race of the Pan American Championships, and in 2016 he was Argentine road racing champion. In 2013 he won the team pursuit on the track together with Maximiliano Richeze , Walter Pérez and Eduardo Sepúlveda .

His brothers Adrian, Roberto and Maximiliano are also racing cyclists.
