Eduardo Sepúlveda (born June 13, 1991 in Rawson ) is an Argentine cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2008 Eduardo Sepúlveda became Argentine junior champion in the individual time trial and in 2011 national time trial champion in the U23 class. Also in 2011 he won bronze in the team pursuit at the Pan American Cycling Championships (with Maximiliano Almada , Walter Perez and Marcos Crespo ). In 2012 he spent at the Center Mondial du Cyclisme of the UCI World Cycling Association in Aigle, Switzerland .

The following year Sepúlveda received a contract with the French cycling team FDJ . In 2012 he won the individual time trial (U23) of the Pan American Championships and was also third in the time trial of the elite. In 2013 he won three medals on the track at the continental championships , gold each in the single and team pursuit (with Walter Perez, Mauro Richeze and Maximiliano Richeze ) and silver in the two-man team driving together with the 38-year-old veteran Pérez . In the same year he finished tenth in the U23 individual time trial at the World Road Championships in Florence .

In 2015 Sepúlveda won the Classic Sud Ardèche . He was then nominated by his team Bretagne-Séché Environnement for his first start in the Tour de France . During the 14th stage he was disqualified because he drove 100 meters in a support car after a defect.
