Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor
The mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor ( Chinese 黄帝陵 , Pinyin Huángdì líng , English Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor / Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum ) is located on the Qiaoshan ( 桥 山 ) in the Huangling district of the Shaanxi province of China. It is said that the Yellow Emperor (Huangdi) - who is venerated as the common ancestor of all Han Chinese - was born in Xinzheng , a small town in Zhengzhou , the capital of Henan, and was buried in the mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor.
The mausoleum has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (1-162) since 1961 .
The sacrificial ceremonies of the mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor (Huangdi ling jidian 黄帝陵 祭典) are on the list of the intangible cultural heritage of the People's Republic of China .
